Our destination? The mystical shores of Doodhkunda are situated amidst the majestic Himalayas. Departure from Kathmandu:

With our backpacks filled with essentials and hearts brimming with anticipation, we bid farewell to the chaotic streets of Kathmandu, ready to embark on an epic adventure to the mystical shores of Doodhkunda. As our bus wound along the winding mountain roads, we were captivated by the ever-changing scenery that unfolded before us. Valleys adorned with terraced fields and traditional Nepalese villages dotted the landscape while towering Himalayan peaks stood sentinel in the distance. The journey itself became an adventure, navigating steep inclines and hairpin bends, accompanied by the rhythmic spin of prayer wheels and the aroma of Nepali tea. Little did we know that the true adventure awaited us as we stepped onto the trailhead, ready to immerse ourselves in the wonders ahead.

The Road Less Traveled:

As our bus wound its way through narrow mountain roads, we witnessed the gradual transition from bustling city life to serene countryside. The journey was not without its challenges, as we encountered rough patches and steep inclines along the way. Yet, the breathtaking vistas of terraced fields, rushing rivers, and terracotta-roofed villages provided ample reward for our perseverance.

Embracing Sherpa Culture:

Passing through Sherpa villages, we were welcomed by warm smiles and the distinct aroma of Nepali tea. Engaging with the Sherpa people, we learned about their customs, traditions, and the Sherpa way of life. The locals shared tales of mountaineering triumphs and their deep spiritual connection with the mountains. We savoured delicious Sherpa cuisine, indulging in sukuti, thukpa, and butter tea, immersing ourselves in the region’s cultural richness.
